Abstract: 

The diamond-shaped arrangement of subunits in the planar forms of existence of biological systems (for the square is only a special case of a rhombus) contributed to the creation of the internal vacuum of the structure, allowing it to carry out the synthesis and re-synthesis of proteins, thereby determining the maximum of properties of representatives of the living nature.
